Project:Angie Langley
From producing an audiobook series to building the website, sales platform and wider creative infrastructure around everything that comes next.
The project
One audiobook opened up a much bigger project.

Angie Langley first came to Moose Hoose with a clear brief: turn her Jennifer Brown’s Journey series into professionally produced audiobooks ready for platforms including Audible.
We started with the recording, editing and production of the first book. But as we talked more about the series, the audience and what Angie wanted to build around her work, it became clear that the opportunity went far beyond the audiobook itself.
The books were already there. What was missing was the platform around them.
Angie needed somewhere that properly represented her work, allowed readers to buy directly, gave her a way to build an audience of her own and created a stronger foundation for whatever came next.
So the project grew.

From bookshelf to online store
Giving the books a proper home online.
We designed and developed a new website around Angie, her books and the growing Jennifer Brown’s Journey series.
It needed to do more than look professional. It needed to work as the central point for everything around her work.
We added direct purchasing and integrated payments, allowing Angie to sell books through her own website rather than relying entirely on third-party platforms.
We also introduced a mailing list, blog and news platform, creating the foundations for ongoing communication with readers and giving future launches, content and announcements somewhere to live.
The result is not simply an author website. It is a platform Angie can continue building on as the catalogue and audience grow.
Building around the work
Turning separate channels into one joined-up platform.
Once the foundations were in place, the conversation became bigger again.
The question was no longer simply how to sell more books. It was how Angie’s website, audiobooks, email, social content and experience as an author could work together to create more opportunities around her work.
That includes reaching new readers, building stronger relationships with the existing audience and creating opportunities for events, interviews, podcasts, collaborations and future launches.
Instead of treating the website, content, email and audiobook production as separate pieces of work, we are building them around the same goal: making it easier for people to discover Angie, understand her work and stay connected to what she does next.
The audiobook series
The project that started it all is still growing.
The first Jennifer Brown’s Journey audiobook has now been professionally produced and published through Audible, becoming the second Moose Hoose-produced audiobook to reach the platform.
The work includes editing, production, mastering and preparation to the technical requirements needed for audiobook distribution.
And it does not stop with book one.
Further titles are now in production, with the audiobook series developing alongside the website, audience and wider platform around Angie’s work.
Listening to: original recording. Switch versions at any point while the excerpt plays.
One project can reveal a much bigger opportunity.
Angie originally came to Moose Hoose because she needed help producing an audiobook.
That immediate project led to conversations about how her books were being presented, where they were being sold, how she communicated with readers and what she wanted the work to become over time.
From there, we could start building the pieces around it.
That is increasingly how we like to work: solve the thing directly in front of us, understand what you are actually trying to build, and then work out what else could make it stronger.
